OBTAINING TITEL DEED IN TURKEY

The Turkish Title Deed (Tapu) is the official document proving property ownership in Turkey. It contains all key details about the property and the owner and is issued by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM).

What is a Tapu?

There are two main types of title deeds in Turkey:

 Red Tapu (Kat Mülkiyeti / Kat İrtifakı)
Kat İrtifakı indicates the property is still under construction.
Kat Mülkiyeti confirms full ownership after completion and approval.

 

 Blue Tapu
Issued for agricultural land or properties outside urban zoning areas.

Steps to Obtain a Tapu in Turkey

 Choose the property and sign the sales contract
 Grant power of attorney if you want us to handle the process for you
 Prepare required documents
Passport (translated and notarized)
Turkish tax number
Property appraisal report
Seller identification

 Appointment at the Tapu Office
 Title deed transfer completed within 3 to 5 working days
